South Mississippi Veterans Resources is a compilation of transitional programs designed in the best interest of homeless, displaced and unemployed Veterans. Serving those residing throughout the Jackson, MS area to the coast, South Mississippi Veterans Resources provides Veterans with an array of support and assistive programs to help return participants to a life of independence, opportunity and sustainability. Programs offered are permanent and transitioning living options as well as temporary financial relief.
About Oak Arbor
Oak Arbor is a place for transition between primary addiction treatment and day-to-day life after treatment. Founded in 2001, Oak Arbor helps individuals with the completion phase of primary addiction treatment. Our goal is to get our clients back into the community and living independently.
Home to all transitional programs Per Diem and Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF). Oak Arbor is located south of Hattiesburg on U.S. Highway 49, Oak Arbor is in a convenient 45 acres location in the southeastern region of Mississippi. Its comprehensive program provides a safe, alcohol/drug free environment offering independence with support to promote independent living without relapsing into addiction. Oak Arbor’s 24-bed unit for males and separate five-bed unit for females are comfortably furnished and decorated to feel like a home away from home.
